Tantalized by the gentle caress of his hands against the small of my back, I managed to separate mind from body; I whispered back... "but WAIT! If YOU loved ME, you would!!"

Think we've made progress? Well, this is another setback.
For a month we'll quote all of these Black History facts
About the struggle and those who put us on the map,
And once it's over, we conveniently forget about that.
We've suddenly become complacent with where we are at.
No longer leaders, more comfortable if we follow the pack
We're too afraid to take a stand so we fall to the back.
We hide our faces, we're insignificant, we're fading to black..
Almost invisible and somehow we're ok with that.
